Data we collect

• Shopify store information, including store domain and account-related store details.
• Orders, refunds and order-related transaction data needed for profit calculations.
• Product and variant data, including cost information where available.
• Merchant-configured cost inputs, COGS overrides, shipping assumptions and fixed costs.
• Marketing cost inputs entered by the merchant.
• Meta Ads reporting data if the merchant connects Meta Ads.
• Google Ads reporting data if the merchant connects Google Ads.
• User and account data needed for authentication, support and app operation.
• Technical logs used for diagnostics, security and reliability.

Purposes of processing

We use data to calculate profit, provide reporting, diagnose cost-model readiness, support merchants, maintain security, troubleshoot issues and operate the ProfitLens service.

Google Ads data use

ProfitLens uses the Google Ads API only for read-only reporting of daily advertising cost data from Google Ads accounts connected by the merchant. This spend data is combined with Shopify orders, refunds, COGS, payment fees, shipping costs, fixed costs and other marketing costs to calculate operating profit.

ProfitLens does not create, edit, pause, remove or manage Google Ads campaigns, ads, keywords, bids, budgets, audiences or account settings.

Data sharing

We may share data with infrastructure, hosting, authentication, communication and service providers that help operate ProfitLens. We do not sell merchant data and do not use Google Ads data for advertising targeting.

No sale of merchant data

ProfitLens does not sell merchant data, Shopify data, Meta Ads reporting data or Google Ads reporting data.

Retention and deletion

We retain data for as long as needed to provide the service, support merchants, maintain security and meet applicable obligations. Merchants can request access, correction or deletion by contacting support@profitlensanalytics.com.

User rights

Depending on applicable law, merchants and users may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of their personal data. To make a request, contact support@profitlensanalytics.com.
